I've Been Tagged For A "Quirky Meme"

I've had the pleasure to have been tagged by Stealth whose blog has been a great find out there in the vast blogosphere. The rules of this meme are as follows:

  • Link to the person that tagged you
  • Post the rules on your blog.
  • Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
  • Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
  • Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

So, at the risk of sounding slightly crazed here is my list:

  1. I hate being in enclosed spaces, like planes and subways. l travel by airplane but I need distractions like books or movies.
  2. I talk to my deceased father when I'm on my motorcycle and I'm heading into tricky terrain. Approaching the tunnel on Storrow Drive in Boston I would say "C'mon Ernie, wanna go for a ride?" and I always made it through to the other side okay.
  3. I flush the toilet in public restrooms with my foot, use a paper towel to turn the faucet on and off and to open the door, and wouldn't sit on the seat even if I had two broken legs. But I will drink from a bar beer mug that's been in use for the last five years.
  4. I think potato chips and chocolate is one of the best food combinations known to mankind.
  5. I am terrified of snakes. My friend saw a live snake in her basement recently and then it disappeared. I would have to move out of my house if that happened to me. I'm totally serious - I would freak.
  6. I've been known to throw on an 80's playlist from the iPod and dance in my kitchen while having a cocktails with the girls. And to do some other things. But I'm to shy to add them to the list.

Let the tagging begin. I know you are supposed to tag 6 people, but I really only have a few blogs that I visit regularly (including Steath). So here are my tagees:

    1. Chewy, whose originality and creativity are really inspiring and who was my first new blog friend.
    2. Ronia, who has some very interesting adventures at Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada , is someone I've known for a number of years, and is really fun to hang with.
    3. Cristina ,who I know will come up with something that will totally surprise (and maybe shock) me and is someone with whom I have had the pleasure to kitchen dance.
    4. Wendy, another new find, who has a really fun blog.

I don't know anyone else with a blog except for you and you already tagged me. But here is my list:

1)My shoelaces need to be straight and at equal lengths all of the time. They can't be all twisted up.

2)I also flush a public toilet with my foot.

3)I drink my milk with ice.

4)I hate when my CD cases get all scratched up.

5)I never make my bed in the morning but I always have to make it perfectly before I get into it at night.

I, too, flush with my foot. I also use a napkin to wrap around the salt and pepper shakers at resturants.

When I was little a neighbor lady made cookies with potato chips in them. They were awesome. If she had added chocolate chips that would be even better.

Ahhh yes, we did kitchen dance and then I made you go out back and look at the stars cuz you have the best backyard for watching the stars - I was zooted but still felt the chill. Hmmm 6 things...

1. Let's go with the shocker first (sticking to the public restroom theme I am seeing) - I get performance anxiety when using a public restroom (always afraid I just might toot - that would be a bad thing)

2. I have saw my baby brother (not just felt his presence) on 11/9/2007 right before Ava was born. He has been dead since 1995.

3. I prefer naked toes (HATE SHOES)if I could have naked toes all year life would be grand.

4. I putter in the morning which constantly keeps me from getting to work before 8:45 or later.

5. I sometimes forget to eat. You cannot tell by looking at the trunkage but it's true.

6. I have 10 siblings (his, hers & theirs).

Chewy, we made potato chip cookies for the cookie swap in December!
Hey Ronia - Thanks for playing! Sorry to keep tagging you - but I knew you would have fun answers. Number 5 sounds like work - but I hate getting into an unmade bed too.
The napkin is a good idea Stealth. I never thought of that. I always question what is on my hands after I use the ketchup bottle in a restaurant. Yuck!
Chewy, that would be a great cookie! Now if I could just learn to cook...
I never knew you had 10 siblings Cristina. See, I knew you would surprise me. I'll have to be aware of number one next time you are in the stall next to me at the Noho Brewery.
Blondie you may be right to play it safe. If anyone from work ever read my blog, they would think I was nuts. As I'm sure many of you do.
