Reading List

Finally dusted my nightstand. I found these 12 books, none of which I have finished reading yet. I have two books by Pema Chödrön and one by Eckhart Tolle because I believe they will make me think. I have a book by Augusten Burroughs because I find his writing extremely entertaining. I have two books of watches - one from Tag Heuer and one from Breitling because to me, their watches are like pieces of beautiful art. There is one book on haunted places in New England and one on vampires. Ever since seeing Catherine Denueve bite Susan Sarandon in The Hunger, I have thought there was something sexy about vampires. Freakonomics (interesting theories), The 4-Hour Work Week (who wants to work more than 4 hours?), and Animals in Translation (what are the dogs trying to tell me?) round out the collection. Oh, and one book I took to read while traveling, 21, which I thought would be interesting since it has ties to Boston.

What's on your nightstand?

It's summer reading for me, nothing but lesbian fiction on my nightstand! Bring on Bella and Bold Stroke Books!

Oh, not quite on my nightstand, but one of my friends is an author so I'm beta reading her latest on my laptop.

I've got 5 on my nightstand! Howard Stern - Miss America, Robin Quivers, Artie Lange - Too Fat to Fish (all because I'm a Howard fan). Dr Phil - Self Matters (counselor recommended), First Aid for the Betrayed (no explanation needed).
None of which I have finished reading and I started three of them!
Hey Pixie! I feel like a bad lesbian for not having any "girl" reads on my nightstand. Those for some reasons on our the bookshelf downstairs. That's pretty cool that one of your friends is an author.

Hi Rizzo! So how is that Dr. Phil book? Sometimes I think he seems to make a lot of sense and then other times I think he just likes to hear himself talk.

Just finished The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. A memoir of her youth with dysfunctional parents. A good quick read.

On my dusty nightstand:
Sail by James Patterson,
Farewell Summer by Ray Bradbury and
The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction (short stories).

On my night table?
"The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein, an atomic clock radio, a souvenir from Cabo, and a loaded Sig Sauer .380

Yeah. I'm so not a girlie girl.
Hey Chewy - I don't believe for one minute your nightstand is dusty. I like short story books, especially for a pre bed time read.

Hi Lesbo! Your books sound much better than mine :)

LOL Solo. There's something very cool about a lady who is locked and loaded. I like it.
